What’s interesting is that on the blotter Poudree and Musc Noir Rose smelt absolutely bombastically, but on my wrist, I thought I touched cat piss.

My flight was delayed last month so I spent a few hours at duty free smelling everything there including NR. Narciso Rodriguez Musc Noir Rose I had a sample of NR Pure Musc and was amazed by how soft and “pure” it smelt that I wanted to try more of NR fragrances. It does dry down to something sticky sweet, but it’s so overpowering at the beginning that I can’t wear it anywhere else apart from running errands. From all the descriptions I’ve read I expected apples and grapes and caramel, but when I first spray it all I smell is alcohol and men’s cologne.

Swiss Arabian Casablanca my second blind buy.

Never new blackberry can dupe blueberry so well. It would have been perfect if it lasted! It’s so fleeting - Floraiku One umbrella for two if I could only keep 2 perfumes, one of them would be this one. This one is like a warm spicy and vanilla enveloping scent of a Turkish delight merchant shop. I’ve smelt several perfumes with it that I quite liked. Penhaligons Changing Constance I think I like cardamom. It reminds me of something from my childhood, a sweet cotton candy 🍭 perfume. PDM Oriana When I was at the PDM counter I smelt them all and even though I loved my Delina sample I couldn’t stop thinking about Oriana. I spray it liberally and it just about lasts all day. Someone mentioned it smells like a Laura Mercier body cream (?, never smelt it so can’t comment on it) - Billie Eilish Eilish very nice sugary vanilla that’s not too heavy, not too sweet, not a headache inducing scent. It’s a very warm delicious cocoa-hazelnut scent with a very nice tuberose drydown. I wore it last winter and enjoyed it, but this year I realised I don’t actually like cherry notes in my perfumes - Trussardi Passeggiata in Galleria… from Le Vie De Milano collection was my first blind buy on recommendation from my sister. I can’t believe people can’t wear perfumes correctly and by doing so completely destroy my enjoyment of some scents - Room 1015 Cherry Punk it’s a dupe (even though it was released first) of the new TF Cherry smoke, it’s a sour cherry mixed with leather. Again, have a colleague who douses herself in it to the point where I can’t sit next to her. It was very enjoyable when I was the only one wearing it. Ariana Grande Cloud Bought a travel size, almost used it up. I’m very grateful, but because it was such a coveted fragrance for me, I barely wear it! “Saving” it for some reason and also I have at least 3 colleagues that wear it to work 🫤.

Kenzo World Power Love it! I went through a full bottle of Olympea a few years ago and was so tempted to rebuy it until I heard that Kenzo had a similar fragrance. It’s nice, but suffocated me a little bit, currently on my Depop.

Would wear around the house and to the gym - Zara Captivatingly Paris Someone compared it to Delina and I bought it prior to smelling Delina. Kept 2 including Applejuice, a very inoffensive light fruity perfume. Zara Applejuice Watched too many Zara dupes videos and placed an order. I don’t like citrus scents, so this one was my perfect spring/summer option. Jo Malone BlackBerry and Bay a very green and fresh perfume. I started digging into niche perfumes and well…here we are… If you can’t tell yet, I love my vanilla and gourmand fragrances. Last year I smelt Baccarat Rouge 540 and had the same “omg” revelation. Then I discovered Jo Malone, it was my first introduction to the non-designer perfumes that actually smelt unique. I went through Chloe, Burberry, Marc Jacobs, Armani etc. In the past I’d buy 1-2 fragrances, use them up and get a new bottle of something new. I think I’ve reached the “holy trinity” of obsessions: I’m done with hoarding makeup, I’ve streamlined my skincare routine and now I’m at my final stage: obsessing over perfumes.
